It's summer, yah!
We have flown from Auckland to LA, and despite all my fears the flight was fine. Nyah slept, in part in the provided bassinet. Caleb slept, and Elijah watched movies. Everyone was really helpful. It was actually ok. I think I'm still in shock with how easy it was, don't get me wrong, I'm glad I don't have to do it again for a while, but travelling with a one year old was ok. In fact, she was our ticket to go quickly through lines. I'm not sure if they were taking pity on us, or if they just didn't want to hear her complaining noises about standing still :-) The kids are missing their friends (and so are we- Hi everyone) and it was really quite strange flying away from everyone we know and love. We took a shuttle to the hotel, and I can't get over how many homeless I have already seen. If a man in Tasmania was standing on a corner with a sign saying "homeless, will work for food" I'm positive someone would stop to help. Here no one even seemed to notice him. Something to be said for small communities I think. I'm having a bit of a Dorothy moment, 'there's no place like home. There's no place like home'. So that said, we are in a plush hotel, feeling like the biggest country bumpkins, with jet lag. Actually better get some sleep, it is 5:28 am here, the sun is just rising. I'll go take a photo.

You are one amazingly brave family! Sam sobbed the night he knew you flew to Sydney for ages, very upset that the boys wont be celebrating birthdays together for the next little while even though I reminded him they had just had their birthdays!
Belle sees Nyah's photo on our screensaver and runs to the pinboard with Nyah's birthday photos shouting "Nyah, Nyah"!!! Trying to jump both feet off the ground... Very cute!
We love you all and are so happy you've made it so far. Chat soon. ENJOY!
